Jan Möhr thrash Brave SC 7-1

… in their Group B U/17 match

Late Friday afternoon, Jan Möhr Secondary School wasted no chances when they took Brave to task by beating them 7-1 at their football field.
After their last game, which they drew, the secondary school side made sure not to leave anything to chance to collect three points in their third game of the season.
Clive Shinyowa scored a hat-trick for Jan Möhr, while Itapotu Tjimbinanjo bagged two goals.

Vince Kahua and Shiyanga Philippus each scored one goal.

Jan Möhr’s coach Adelino Batista realised after their last match that their main problem was in the attack, prompting them to work more in that area.

That was our main problem, so we worked on that. I told the boys to start shooting. I told the boys if we don’t start shooting, we won’t score – as simple as that,

– he said.

Jan Möhr’s start of the season has been shaky, losing their opening match 3-1 and drawing 0-0 in the second game, which led them to start playing organisational football.

This is the team we were supposed to beat at least 14-0 at the way we’re playing now. Because of the effort and the work, we have put in shows that we have been working very hard, but it’s football I’m not too happy with the result,

– Batista stated.

So far, we have some problems in the defence and the midfield, which I want to work on. On the attack side, we need to fix it a bit, but we will go back to the drawing board. We shouldn’t be happy with this win. We should continue working hard,

-he said.

The losing coach of Brave Ephraim Lukas took charge of the team last week.
He did not have enough time to acquaint himself with the squad.

It’s my first match. I don’t know the players very well. They were the lucky guys today. We were bad on the field. It’s not yet game over. We still going to come back,

– Lukas stated.

My boys played well – even though we considered seven goals. It’s fine, and it’s part of the game – it’s football. Our next opponent should just know that we’re coming for our three points,

– he said.
