The league is flooding with card

The league has come to its mid, and the intensity and physicality is heading to its climax. From a total of four match days, 18 of the 22 teams have a record in the card department, which tallies up to 96 six cards; six of which are red. The passion of the players for the game is palpable and the tension of the sport has led to a high number of cards to be dished out by the match officials during the four match days.

The Yellow Army (Kasaona FA’s) dominates in the yellow card department which justifies their aggressive, hungry style of play. The team has a total of 14 yellows in only four match days. While Kasaona leads in the yellows, they have not recorded any red thus far.

2 red cards and 4 yellows has become the statistic of the Birds (Swallows FA), and drawing a peak in the disciplinary files. With this recording, Swallows has become the team with most reds within the match days played.

While the number of bookings in the league may seem concerning so far, the physicality and intensity of the sport does not seem to subside anytime soon. And as the season progresses, it will be interesting to see which teams rise to the top of the league table and which players can keep their cool amidst the heat of competition.

MATCH DAY 8 has kicked off on Wednesday, where we witnessed some of the spectacular football. It continues on Saturday at SKW (U/13), Telekom (U/15), Jan Mohr (U/17) and Ramblers (U/19) respectively.
