The MTC HopSol youngsters showing everyone how it’s done

Match day 2 after the return of football in the country, and first day after the return of spectators and the fields were colourful on both Friday and Saturday as parents and friends came out in numbers to support their young ballers.

On Friday afternoon Riverheights FA U13 midfielder Indila Namwandi dislocated his wrist in their game against PAY and was rushed to the hospital, their coach has confirmed on Saturday that Indila has not broken anything and is busy recovering at home. We at MTC HopSol YSL wish him a speedy recovery and pray he comes back stronger.

On a less sad note, it won’t be an MTCHopSol league day if the total number of goals scored don’t look anything like 149 goals in 22 matches played, the highest score line was reported in the U11 age group when SKW a ruthlessly tore WHK GYM apart by putting 14 past them, although GYM opened up the score they only manage to score 2.

PAY finally reported a victory and you could see the gladness and joy after the final whistle, the joy was immense that one would think it’s a final. It was understandably as they defeated a very tough opponent in SKW b and the score sheet read 4-3 for the Physically active youth from Katutura.

With spectators allowed now, the youngsters continue to flourish with the support from friends, family and fans alike. The action continues this weekend.
